Hum To Tere Hi Liye The Song Lyrics

Hum to tere hi liye the,
Tere hi liye rahenge.
Saansein jab tak chalengi,
Tera hi naam lenge.

Raaste badal gaye hain,
Faasle barh gaye hain.
Par dil ki dehleez par,
Hum aaj bhi wahi hain.

Tinka tinka joda tha,
Jo khwaab humne dekha.
Woh tut ke bikhar gaya,
Par pyaar nahi kam hua.

The lyrical fabric crafted by Gulzar in this track speaks directly to eternal devotion and acceptance of heartbreak. When you unpack the verses, the imagery centers around a person standing still in time while the rest of the world shifts. Lines like 'Raaste badal gaye hain, faasle barh gaye hain' convey physical or emotional distance, yet the protagonist refuses to move away from emotional commitment. Vishal Bhardwaj structures the tune to mirror this persistence, allowing listeners to feel the heaviness of unfulfilled expectations blended with quiet dignity.

The metaphor of 'tinka tinka joda tha' paints a picture of painstaking effort spent building a future that ultimately fell apart. Rather than turning bitter, the narrative pivots toward a love that survives even in absence. It addresses anyone who has experienced the bittersweet reality of caring deeply for someone who walked away.
